Why do you think Robson was a good player?
He would sprint to try and keep a ball in play which there was no chance of retreiving and going out for a goal kick. He would collide with the goalpost and swallow his tongue. He would try and head the ball in the centre circle against an opponent taller and stronger than himself and dislocate his shoulder on landing when hitting the deck.
England were always much better in a World Cup after he went home injured.
The man was always a self inflicted liability to himself and all his teammates.
Captain Marvel - Captain Chump would be more accurate.

I'll second Gareth fucking Barry.
If he had been right footed his career would have been spent in the lower leagues. Being left footed got him in teams to add 'balance'.
He also moved about the pitch like he had a piano strapped to his back.

Wilshere also has a honorable mention
Most players that are overated are so due to the media hyping them up do to their involvement or possible future involvement in the national side.

Viera also said Scholes was the best he played against. Strange as I have to say I didn't appreciate this at the time or how true it is. He used to foul a lot.

Yea good shout, he didn't have much natural ability. he made the most of what he had, same as Platt and Keegan.
Never rated Ray Parlour much, but he had a good career and scored some cracking goals.

He may be a Japanese school girl looking cunt, but not sure you can call someone with 60 goals in 97 games for brazil overrated, especially as the brazil team he plays in hasnt exactly been that good.
And Scholes was a quality player.
I've always thought benzema was a bit shit, but probably harsh on him as well.
